Supply Dynamics seeks experienced engineering or technical professionals looking for a flexible contract opportunity translating information from blueprints into reportable, functional data. This individual must have proficiency reading and understanding blueprints for both simple and complex parts and assemblies.

This role is ideal for reliable individuals with weekday/daytime availability who seek flexibility in their schedule. You could be a retired engineer or machinist. After passing a test demonstrating the required skill set, hired contractors are paid based on the accuracy of work performed.

As a Sales Support Coordinator at Supply Dynamics, you directly influence and communicate with existing prospects to advance their status in the sales cycle. You do so by constructing customized proposals, ROI analyses, and engaging content. You will also provide input to marketing campaigns and assist with creating content that succeeds in attracting prospects. You will work independently and with others to progress and close targeted accounts. This role directly supports the CEO. Closing sales and growing our business is the key indicator of success.

To be effective in this role, you will need to be comfortable writing in a clear, succinct, and persuasive manner. Your ability to package ideas into a variety of mediums, including presentation decks, webinars, ROI analyses, press releases, case studies will also be an asset in this position. You must be comfortable doing on-line demonstrations to sales prospects via web conference and following up with them via e-mail and phone. While not a pre-requisite, you’ll need to quickly come up to speed on manufacturing terminology and familiarize yourself with our SDX Platform. But don’t worry, we can teach you that stuff!

Responsibilities

– Work with CEO to ultimately close enterprise level software/service contracts
– Responsible for prospect qualification, customer development, and proposal creation
– Progress an existing sales pipeline/funnel of target companies towards close.
– Work with our operations people to help them increase our penetration at existing customers.
– Initiate contact with prospects by phone, email, text, and social media. 
– Build a network of influencers and decision makers within target companies

If you are a mechanical engineer (ME) with an ability to interpret engineering drawings and easily recommend the appropriate manufacturing processes and you’re looking for a unique opportunity work for a company where you can apply your machining, materials and special process know-how without ever getting your hands dirty, this is the leadership role you have been looking for! In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the worlds largest and most successful manufacturing companies, spanning multiple industries. You’ll work with both internal and external customers to help them leverage our cutting-edge software to identify and implement cost and performance level improvements.

In this multi-faceted role, you will be responsible for managing a group of contract engineers in the initial data collection process from customer blueprints, loading the data into the SaaS application, performing data analysis, and providing guidance to our customers. Using our SaaS solution, you are empowered to help Supply Dynamics customers generate savings via lower material costs, efficiencies in manufacturing, and other savings avenues.

Familiarity with raw materials, supply chain management and the ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints are key to your success in this role. As the internal subject matter expert, you will be the steward of several related databases. These databases have a direct impact on the insights presented to customers. To be effective, you must understand general manufacturing processes and raw material specifications and their relationship to how parts are made.

Beyond data collection and analysis, you will interface directly with our OEM customers and their sub-tier suppliers to ensure successful integration of our SaaS solution with their strategic sourcing initiatives. This will include solution onboarding, training new users, savings opportunity identification, and program expansion within the customer organization.

Responsibilities

Manage blueprint data collection process and the contractors hired to assist in the process of interpretation

Maintain the material master database; adding valid material combinations as required referencing reputable resources and customer spec sheets

Interface with internal and external customers to stand-up new programs and manage them on an on-going basis

Specific program management responsibilities shall include:

Continuous management of assigned customer accounts

On board and train new users

Drive the data collection, cleansing, and analysis processes

Provide customer insight and recommendations on material usage and aggregation opportunities

Assist in the implementation of “directed buy” agreements

Provide guidance on supplier communications

Assist the customer with RFQ preparation and evaluation

Assist the customer in preparing supplier agreements (negotiation, selection, and formal agreement structure)

Host regular conference calls with customer contacts to manage program implementation. Using a Gantt chart, you will track and communicate progress toward milestones. The customer will rely on your guidance to creatively address any implementation bottlenecks/roadblock

Expand the Supply Dynamics footprint within the customer organization

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Materials, or equivalent

Minimum of 5 years of related experience in a metal consuming manufacturing environment

Some metallurgy background desired (understanding of metal forms, alloys, grades, specifications)

Must possess a basic understanding of how raw materials are purchased and who major suppliers are

Must have experience reading engineering blueprints

Strong written and oral communication skills

As a Network Administrator at Supply Dynamics, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of our network and infrastructure that support our hosting environment. The Network Administrator will be tasked with the creation of incident management records and following change management processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

– Provide infrastructure support to the organization, including management of Windows and Linux servers (patching, backups, user management, log monitoring, DR, etc.). Estimate 30% of job function
– Perform root-cause fault analysis, fault resolution, system configuration, software installation and OS installs and upgrades for servers (Windows 2003, 2008, Linux web, application, and database)
– Responsible for the day-to-day break/fix, maintenance, and operation of selected systems
– Perform System & Application maintenance and upgrades
– Perform (2008 R2) MS Active Directory administration, configuration, and management
– Perform VMware ESX administration, configuration, management, and modifications as required
– Perform network/system management and monitoring
– Recommend process improvement technologies and implement them after approval is given
